Hill provided owner’s representative and project management oversight for the renovation of the Loews Miami Beach Hotel. The renovation upgraded the majority of the ground floor space, including the reconfiguration of back-of-house and reception areas; added an extension to the under-used outdoor space to tie in with indoor uses; reconfigured the restaurant and indoor/patio functional dining space; refinished bathrooms and kitchen; added new FF&E for all spaces; and restyled the entire space to match the previously renovated functional space on the mezzanine level.

Specifically, the project encompassed the renovation of 790 guestrooms, lobby, lobby bar and lounge, coffee shop, swimming pool finishes, the addition of private cabanas at the pool and pool bar, event lawn, elevator cabs, exterior building paint, and back-of-house finishes. The hotel remained in operation during the work, except for three weeks in the middle of the summer to allow for heavy demolition work.

Hill managed the coordination of five contractors working on sections of the project simultaneously, including overseeing the completion of all major demolition while the hotel was closed to guests.
