The luxurious Madrid EDITION hotel involves the multi-phase transformation of the Monte de Piedad office building into a five-star destination. The interior of the hotel spans 25,000 SM and provides an atmosphere of comfort, exclusivity, and relaxation. It comprises 177 rooms, 21 suites, and 2 lavish penthouses, each with its own outdoor pool. Additional features include a spa-wellness facility, two restaurants, two cocktail bars, and a terrace with a rooftop infinity pool, which is the largest of its kind in Madrid in a pre-existing building. Furthermore, the hotel provides meeting rooms with more than 350 SM of dedicated space, ideal for hosting meetings and events, and about 200 SM of ballroom space.

Located in a peaceful square surrounded by historic buildings, the Madrid EDITION is situated in the heart of Spain’s capital near Puerta de Sol, one of the city’s most renowned landmarks. It is also within walking distance The Golden Triangle of Art, which comprises three major art museums.

The hotel reflects the essence of the city and its culture, offering a unique blend of exceptional dining, entertainment, innovative design, and luxury service. As the second EDITION Hotel in Spain, the Madrid EDITION epitomizes the elegance and sophistication of its surroundings.

Hill provided project management for the transformation, including design, procurement, and construction management, along with FF&E and OS&E works supervision. Hill’s support spanned the entire project lifecycle, from concept through both construction phases. The first phase encompassed demolition, structural consolidation, and the separation of the hotel and a small office area conserved in the building by the previous owner. The second phase encompassed fit-out works, including the installation of equipment, until the final handover to the owner and the operations team. The project received LEED Gold certification.
