Project Value $55 million

The redevelopment program of the Astir Marina Vouliagmenis aims to enhance and upgrade the Marina’s port and land infrastructure to provide top accommodation services to super- and mega- yachts. After completion of the redevelopment, the Marina will be able to provide 59 fully modern and renovated berths, capable of hosting yachts up to 70+ meters in overall length.

The renovation works in the Marina’s Seazone include the reconstruction and extension of the leeward pier, the extension of the windward pier, the deepening of the sea-basin, the installation of permanent mooring anchors, and the reforming of the helicopter landing/take-off site.

The project also entails the reconstruction of the Marina’s electromechanical installations and networks to provide high-end services to docked yachts. Specific features include power and water distribution, sewage network for each vessel, a fueling station, Wi-Fi network, and automatic payment systems, among others.

The Marina’s Landzone area, which will be separated into three sections, will see works in two sections for the protection and restoration of the natural landscape and the surrounding urban green area. The area’s third section, which will host the Marina’s operational facilities, entails the development of support buildings comprising up to 4,700 SM. These include:

  • Control tower, harbor office, customs office, and doctor’s office.
  • Service shops, commercial shops, and restaurants.
  • The Yacht Club complex consisting of the marina, with provision for the development of a restaurant/refreshment bar, shops, and offices.
  • Supporting buildings that include warehouses, staff quarters, a marine supply store, and anti-fouling equipment warehouses.
  • Indoor and outdoor car parking spaces including spaces reserved for people with reduced mobility / PWDs and spaces to serve electric vehicles.

The main areas between the buildings and the waterfront will be developed to a high standard with quality materials and advanced nursery plant material to create a high-quality environment with a degree of maturity. Furthermore, new tree planting will replace any trees lost during redevelopment.

All works have been implemented in full compliance with the latest statutory and environmental regulations for marinas, minimization the project’s environmental impact while respecting the local community of Vouliagmeni, a high-end tourist destination on the Athenian Riviera.
