Rusty DeBorde Joins Hill’s Texas Operations

Hill International’s new Vice President of Business Development, Texas Region Rusty DeBorde has a three-pronged approach for achieving prosperity.

“The path to success is helping the people on our team, helping our clients, and, ultimately, helping the communities we serve,” said DeBorde. “Addressing the challenges of those three groups and supporting their goals should be the number one priority for each project.”

Based in the firm’s Houston office, DeBorde brings more than 20 years of business development experience to Hill. He previously served as Director of Business Development at Raba Kistner, an engineering consulting and program management firm, where he developed a business plan and strategic planning practices that resulted in 60% growth in the Houston area. For a decade, DeBorde was President of Texas Signature Builders, an LLC focused on construction, and also worked for Windham Builders and Quest Construction.

Among the notable projects, DeBorde was involved with the University of Houston’s Indoor Practice Facility, the Spring Independent School District new stadium, and the Memorial Hermann Hospital Medical Center addition and renovation.

“Rusty has a proven record of establishing and maintaining relationships with clients,” said Vice President Chuck Levergood, Senior Vice President Business Development, Americas. “He brings a top notch skillset that will improve our efforts and bring significant business development success in Texas and the southern region.”

In addition to receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from Stephen F. Austin State University, DeBorde is an active member of numerous professional associations. He currently serves on the board of directors for the A4LE Association and Memorial Hermann & HCA Hospitals Community Advisor Board. He was also a member of the Greater Houston Builders Association and American General Contractors Association.

“It is exciting to join such a well-known and respected firm,” DeBorde said. “I believe that individual commitment to a group effort is what makes a team work. I am excited to bring that approach to Hill as we continue to build the company for future success.”
