Mohamed Bin Zayed (MBZ) City is a growing residential district located in the southeastern suburbs of Abu Dhabi. The Abu Dhabi DMT is undertaking the MBZ City Community Facilities Project to enhance the area’s livability, transform underutilized spaces, and provide residents with greater access to recreational, social, and cultural facilities in accordance with the city’s vision for integrated, family-oriented development. The project encompasses the delivery of public amenities and infrastructure improvements, including new landscaping and hardscaping, retail units, mosques, community centers, a wedding and event hall, indoor and outdoor sports facilities, and parks. The DMT is delivering the works across seven construction packages.
One major package is the Community Center Package 20, comprising the design-build delivery of two facilities, Nabdh Al Manhal and Nabdh Al Waha. Nabdh Al Manhal occupies a 9,000 SM plot with a built-up area of 2,617 SM, while Nabdh Al Waha occupies a 7,000 SM plot with a built-up area of 2,126 SM. Part of Abu Dhabi’s expanding network of Nabdh community hubs, both facilities incorporate climate-controlled recreational and social spaces, including gymnasiums, multipurpose halls, retail facilities, indoor and outdoor children’s play areas, and more. The facilities opened in September 2026.
Another major package included the delivery of the MBZ City Community Event Hall. Occupying a 17,000 SM plot with a built-up area of 5,164 SM, the facility serves as a venue for weddings and other private and public events. The facility opened in September 2026.
Hill serves as supervision consultant for the MBZ City Community Facilities Project. Our team provides design review, construction supervision, cost management, program management, risk assessment, change control, value engineering, contract administration, and coordination services across the development’s construction packages. We also oversee health and safety, quality assurance, testing and commissioning, and the handover process to help ensure that the facilities meet our client’s requirements.
