Hill is providing construction management for the delivery of the expansion and upgrade of the 300,000 SM ASYAPORT Container Terminal. The project will enable the terminal’s main 2,010-meter quay will cater to container vessels with a capacity varying between 1,000 to 18,000 TEU with a 330 meter feeder quay serving container vessels varying between 1,000 and 5,000 TEU. Once complete, ASYAPORT will be the first trans-shipment container terminal in Turkey with a draft of up to 18 M, 2,000 in total quay length, and a capacity of up to 2.5 million TEU.

Hill is providing construction management for all three phases (pre-construction, construction, and acceptance) of the project. This includes the coordination of all agents involved, procurement and contract management, planning and cost control, site management, document management, and reporting. Our support includes deploying an independent team of experts comprised of a Construction Manager, Contract Manager, Quality & Materials Engineer, Program and Cost Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, HSE Engineer, and a Document Controller. This team monitored and oversaw such tasks as dredging of sand and clay materials in the future feeder basin and the approach channel; filling sand and ground preparation in the future land areas of the terminal; jet grouting for seismic reinforcement along the quay walls; construction of quay walls; construction of pavements in the terminal; installing grids in the terminal, including lighting, drainage, power, water, and communication; construction of special features such as reefer racks, fuel supply and washing facilities; construction of Administration, Service and Workshop, Customs, Electric Power Station, Water Tank and Pump Station, Fuel Station, and Government Buildings, and electrical infrastructure throughout the Terminal.
