Hill is providing owner’s project management (OPM) services for the new Hadley Elementary School. Once complete, the school will house 900 students from kindergarten through fourth grade. Specialized spaces include a media center, cafetorium, and administrative spaces in a shared, central “core” space. The school is being designed to achieve LEED Silver certification, as well as to exceed current building energy efficiency requirements. Hill’s OPM support, which began with a feasibility study for the new school and subsequent public outreach and education efforts, includes construction management; furniture, fixtures, and equipment management; and move-in. Hill’s familiarity with the Town’s goals and priorities, the constraints of the site, and opportunities and risks of the Massachusetts School Building Authority’s funding process and requirements will be invaluable in realizing the Hadley Elementary project on time and within budget.
