The store refurbishments include opening of new locations, relocations, expansions, and remodels.

Hill is applying its lean management system to ensure consistent delivery, transparent reporting, and effective risk management across the program. The system comprises organizational strategy, information and knowledge management, communications, and process methodology as well as program and project management tools. The store refurbishments require careful advance planning to make certain construction works are completed on time and within budget to permit business to resume as quickly as possible.

The stores are being upgraded to meet current design standards and operational requirements. Hill is also managing requirements arising from the lease agreements and confirming works comply with local regulations, including any required upgrades to for example fire and life safety installations. Hill’s support to the Foot Locker construction team includes overseeing the final design and tender documentation, procurement of contractors and vendors, contract and cost management, change and risk management, on-site construction management, and project close out. Hill is also managing the interfaces to the project delivery stakeholders and engaging any required local experts as needed to resolve site issues.
