Hill provided construction management services to Loudoun County for their $102 million Recreation and Community Center project in Ashburn, VA.
Approved by voters in a November 2016 referendum, the state-of-the-art, multi-purpose facility serves residents in one of the fastest growing counties in Virginia. The 121,000 SF facility is located on an approximately 21 acre site and features leisure and spa pools; a 50-meter competition pool; an indoor running track; an indoor gymnasium with 12 basketball hoops and game line markings for basketball, volleyball, pickleball, and badminton; exercise equipment; locker rooms; classrooms; a loop trail; a retention pond; above-ground parking; a playground and outdoor fitness area; and high-end architectural features. Expected to achieve LEED Silver certification, the facility was constructed using sustainable building materials and includes 196 geothermal wells, bioretention ponds, and high-efficiency building systems.
Reporting to the County’s Department of Transportation and Capital Infrastructure (DTCI), Hill provided a full range of construction management services throughout construction, which commenced in June 2022 and reached substantial completion in June 2025.
