Prague Airport is undertaking a project to expand and modernize Terminal 2 at Vaclav Havel Airport Prague, the Czech Republic’s largest airport and a key aviation gateway in Central Europe. The brownfield project includes the expansion of the Terminal 2 Headhouse, along with the construction of a new pier, Pier D. Prague Airport’s project team will also renovate Pier C and other areas within the terminal, installing state-of-the-art systems to improve operational efficiency and enhance the passenger experience. The expansion is linked to other planned infrastructure improvements at the airport, including a new rail station, new access roads, upgrades to Terminal 1, airfield works, and a nearby “airport city,” including a variety of commercial and recreational facilities.

As part of a joint venture, Hill provides technical advisory, design documentation review, BIM management and coordination, construction management and site supervision, quality control and assurance, procurement support, project controls, LEED certification coordination, and operational readiness services for the project. The Hill team is working closely with Prague Airport and their stakeholders to manage interfaces between new and existing facilities and maintain safe, efficient airport operations throughout construction.
