Project Value Confidential

Global hospitality company Hilton undertook a project to renovate the Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus hotel, one of Türkiye’s most historically significant hospitality assets. The hotel originally opened in 1955 and is the oldest operational Hilton hotel outside of the Americas. The project reimagined the property by combining its historic identity with modern comforts and high-performance systems, reinforcing its position as one of the region’s leading hospitality destinations.

The project scope comprised the renovation of all 475 guestrooms and suites, the expansion and enhancement of event space, the refurbishment of public areas, the delivery of new dining facilities, and the incorporation of new building systems. The project also preserved and accentuated many of the facility’s original architectural features and design elements, including an entrance canopy that resembles a flying carpet and handcrafted Çintemani wall tiles. To maintain operations throughout construction, the project required phased sequencing and multidisciplinary coordination across construction and hotel operations.

Hill International provided project management services for the renovation. Our professionals coordinated with Hilton, the rest of the project team, and hotel staff across design, procurement, and construction to plan and implement the renovation while minimizing disruptions to hotel operations. The Hill team also oversaw design and construction activities, provided support during procurement, managed the budget and schedule, implemented quality assurance, and liaised with stakeholders throughout the renovation to promote project success.
