Hill provided design management and project management services for the renovation of this iconic Hotel built in 1910. Previously, Hill conducted a Technical Due Diligence report to provide the client with detailed information about the state of the building, the requirements to transform it in a Mandarin Oriental Hotel, and the estimated budget required for this transformation.

The project included the excavation and construction of a two-level, below-ground expansion to house a Spa, the reconstruction of a glazed metal structure roof, partial demolition of floors and partition walls, reinforcement of the existing structure, and refurbishment of various elements such as slabs, stairs, partition walls, suspended ceilings, and facades. The project also included fitting out works and coordination of the implementation of equipment and furniture. Upon completion, the hotel offered 106 rooms, including 47 new suites. The architect in charge of the renovation was Rafael de La Hoz and the interior design was carried out by Gilles & Boissier studio.
