Hill International is providing project and construction management for the upgrade and renovation of the Staufenbergstrasse, Berlin for the Al Rayyan Tourism Investment Company (ARTIC). The project rebranded the hotel as a JW Marriot property with approximately 500 keys, extensive conference facilities, and the largest ballroom in Berlin.

Phase One refurbished the approximately 100 rooms on the sixth floor, the ground floor steakhouse restaurant and washroom facilities, a new lobby bar, a new and relocated reception area, and the Berlin Baking company café. Future phases will include the refurbishment of the remaining rooms, breakfast restaurant, and ultimately the fitness and wellness facilities. Work on the project was undertaken while maintaining hotel operations with minimal guest disruptions. Hill’s team was key to keeping the many international project stakeholders informed and up to date, including the Qatari owner’s team, the Egyptian designer, local architects and engineers and suppliers, and contractors from across Europe.
