Hill is providing project, design, construction, planning, and cost control management support for the complete refurbishment of the historic Hotel Majestic, the first luxury hotel built on the prestigious Via Veneto, in Rome. Since opening in 1889, the Hotel Majestic has hosted famous travelers from all over the world, including royalty, politicians, and celebrities. In 1960, the hotel bar also served as the setting for several scenes from Federico Fellini’s cinema classic “La Dolce Vita.”

Hill’s professional staff in Italy are providing project management, planning services, and cost control support and as well as design coordination and permit management. The Hill team will also lead construction management for the project as well as overseeing cost verification, cash flow monitoring, and risk mitigation.

Once the renovation of the hotel is complete, the Majestic will be repositioned into an ultra-luxury lifestyle hotel featuring 87 upgraded and enlarged rooms and suites. Amenities will include three grand dining rooms with the main restaurant featuring an expansive terrace with panoramic views across Via Veneto, an intimate cocktail bar, a rooftop bar, state-of-the-art meeting and conference spaces, and a full-service spa and fitness facility. Once complete, the new hotel, expected to achieve LEED – Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certification, will be operated by SH Hotels & Resorts.
