Hill is providing construction management services to GSA Region 2 for the renovation of the Jacob K. Javits Federal Building on floors 16 through 21 and 30 in New York City. Hill’s services consist of program of requirements (POR) development and confirmation, pre-design and design reviews, cost estimate review, value engineering, quality assurance reviews, construction procurement support, and construction management. The Javits Building, located at 26 Federal Plaza in downtown Manhattan, is comprised of two 45-story office buildings built in 1967 and 1977. GSA recently moved from the Javits Building to the new One World Trade Center. As a result, GSA was able to complete critical renovations including asbestos removal, mechanical and electrical system upgrades, and fire and life safety improvements. When renovations are complete, GSA plans to consolidate multiple agency operations into the newly renovated building.
