Since joining Hill in 2013, Ed has captured and executed Federal assignments throughout the Washington, DC, region as well as across the U.S. This includes his work for the General Services Administration, the Federal Reserve Board, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. Ed has also expanded Hill’s business throughout the Washington, DC, and Baltimore, MD, metro areas, winning work with the Maryland Aviation Administration, the District of Columbia Department of General Services, and many other private- and public-sector clients in Maryland and Virginia.
Prior to joining Hill, Ed enjoyed a 30-year career in the AEC industry, delivering major projects for Federal and other clients. Ed’s responsibilities as Federal Sector Leader will include planning and leading the Hill Federal Team in identifying opportunities, partnering with other companies, expanding our relationships with Federal agencies and owners, and identifying market trends to better serve clients and grow Hill’s Federal business. In addition, he will assess staffing and teaming capabilities, recruit subordinate team members, and oversee Hill’s program, project, and construction management services for Federal clients. Ed will answer directly to Luis Lugo Jr., Hill’s Senior Vice President, Business Development Americas.
Ed holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the U.S. Military Academy and is also a registered Professional Engineer in Maryland and Virginia. Before beginning his construction career, Ed served as an officer in the U.S. Army with several combat engineer units, stationed across the United States and overseas.
“Hill enjoys decades-long relationships with many Federal clients,” explained Hill Senior Vice President, Business Development Americas, Luis Lugo Jr. “And with the pending influx of funding for infrastructure programs and projects for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Department of Energy, among others, we knew we needed an expert who understood the market and the needs of these agencies. I’m more than confident Ed is going to grow our Federal business exponentially in the years ahead.”
