Walking the Talk: New Vice President, Rail and Transit Gavin Martin
Hill International Middle East has received a BIM ISO Certification (ISO 19650 Part2 Asset Delivery and Part 3 Asset Operation) from LRQA for its Middle East offices in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, Jeddah, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, and India.
Since its inception in February, the initiative to obtain the BIM ISO Certification was driven by Hill’s Executive Consultant Abdo Kardous. The drive came as a response to reoccurring demands from clients for the certification – particularly in Saudi Arabia.
“LRQA is delighted to be the trusted partner of choice for Hill International and we would like to congratulate Hill International on their achievement of being the first pure PMC firm with a regional office based in the Middle East to accomplish multi-site ISO Certification for Asset Delivery (ISO 19650 Part 2) and Asset Operation (ISO 19650 Part 3) for eight of its branches. This demonstrates Hill International’s continuous improvement mindset in providing best practice and gives its clients confidence that Hill International is working to the highest standards,” says Saif Alobaidi, General Manager Middle East & Egypt (LRQA).
“The use of BIM and related technologies is increasingly becoming a standard practice in our company’s major Middle East markets and throughout our regional project operations,” says Amine Tayeg, Hill Middle East QMS Director. “Hill’s teams have already been involved in delivering BIM related services on several major projects, and the ISO Certification enabled us to consolidate, document, and integrate the acquired knowledge and expertise into Hill International’s management system processes and standard practices.
“Furthermore, ISO Certification constitutes a formal recognition of our BIM capabilities and provides us with a competitive edge, allowing Hill International to improve our bid-hit rates, enhance our capacity to meet client’s expectations, and expand our business in the region and beyond.”
