Negotiating Success: Hill Contract Administrator Christine Prettyman
Hill has worked with several Program Management and Information Systems (PMIS) software programs and excels in helping our clients select and implement the best PMIS for their specific program management needs. Our fully integrated PMIS platforms and program control services include:
At Hill, technology is fundamental program control. Data management tools, business intelligence, dashboarding, and data mining deliver the timely, accurate information clients need to make informed decisions and keep control of their programs and projects.
A generation ago many of these tools either did not exist or were in their infancy. Today, we’re seeing the results of implementing these technologies through precision forecasting and real-time analytics. Our teams identify the best technologies to help our clients realize these exponential benefits from their own program management systems. Among the deliverables Hill’s PMIS experts can deliver to your program are:
Hill’s experts then use this information to produce and present actionable analyses, recommendations, and solutions to support decision making and improve performance across the entire program. Program control tools and technologies we currently support include:
Hill is also capable of implementing and using any PMIS tool or suite of tools our clients prefer.
PMIS Success: Ascending at SFO
Hill has earned industry accolades from our program management clients for our work leveraging new technologies to better track and control project and program costs and timelines.
For example, Hill is providing program management and controls services to San Francisco International Airport for the $7.2 billion “SFO Ascent” program. Working directly with SFO’s Planning Design and Construction team, Hill helped develop the programmatic control and reporting for a progressive design-build delivery model using Oracle Unifier as the PMIS.
Hill’s team worked with SFO stakeholders including Planning, Design and Construction (PDC) and Finance and Accounting to understand the requirements and needs of the Airport in general and the Ascent program specifically. This effort included the definition, requirement gathering from stakeholders, design, and implementation steps in all the following areas:
The SFO PMIS implementation was focused on program and contract management and, due to the scope of the implementation, the Hill team also developed interfaces between the PMIS and other SFO systems for Funding Management, Contractor Invoicing, and Internal Cost.
As a result of Hill’s PMIS support at SFO, the Ascent program enjoyed consistent success in meeting budget and schedule targets.
Hill Vice President of Project Controls Marty Turner, CCM, LEED GA, has more than 25 years of experience in leading project and program management teams on major initiatives in the aviation, transit, and roads and highway markets. His work includes leading the $3.6 billion Elgin O’Hare Western Access program for the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority, the $3.4 billion O’Hare Modernization Program, Miami International Airports $1 billion North Terminal Development and $60M South Terminal Expansion and Delta Airlines’ Renovations & Refurbishments program at New York LaGuardia Airport (LGA). At Hill, Marty is responsible for leading Hill’s integrated project controls efforts on projects and programs around the world. Turner earned the Construction Management Association of America’s (CMAA) 2016 Award for New Technologies & Techniques in CM and currently serves on CMAA’s National Technology Committee.
