William David Hewson joined Hill International as Director of Facilities Management, International. He will be responsible for heading up Hill’s Facilities Management Division.
With more than 25 years of senior leadership experience in Facilities Management, William has led all aspects of Facilities Management across a diverse portfolio of property developments. This includes world-class universities, international airports, luxury resorts, hospitals, and mega, mixed-use real estate developments.
William began his career in the Royal Canadian Air Force as a construction engineer and has held various leadership roles, including Group Vice President, Assistant Vice Chancellor, and Managing Director.
He has managed major assignments across the Middle East, including work in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Bahrain, as well as in Canada, Europe, and the United States.
Highlights of his Facilities Management work include work for the University of California Berkeley, U.S.; the United Nations Headquarters in Vienna, Austria; King Abdullah Economic City, KSA; Abu Dhabi International Airport, UAE; Princess Noura University, KSA; and King Abdullah Financial District, KSA.
William obtained a Master of Arts in Urban Planning and Property Development from the University of British Columbia.
