The development of Greece’s gas distribution network will enable the country to shift from more expensive and polluting fuels, bringing environmental benefits and potentially lower energy costs. The Natural Gas Networks at Central and Eastern Macedonia and Thrace project are part of a wider project comprising the construction of natural gas networks in 18 cities across East Macedonia and Thrace, Central Macedonia, and Continental Greece (Sterea Ellada), financed by the European Investment Bank. Construction includes installation of 1,215 KM of Natural Gas Networks with an annual transmission of 6.2 TWh for 20 years, covering the needs of 124,000 residential, commercial, and industrial end-users.

Hill is supporting all project phases, providing design review, project management, project controls, contract management, schedule monitoring, simultaneous construction supervision at more than 33 individual different sites, subcontractors’ management, material inspection and certification, cost controls and payments’ review/approval, commissioning, and certification of the gas network to various cities.
