Hill International has been awarded a contract by the Rua Al-Madinah Holding Co. to oversee the advance roadways package of the Madinah Central Area (MCA) development project. This undertaking, spanning 1.4 square kilometers, represents a cornerstone of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s ambitious Vision 2030 program.

The MCA development project, situated in the Municipality of Madinah, aims to significantly enhance retail and hospitality assets while modernizing critical infrastructure. As part of this endeavor, Hill leads efforts to upgrade the Al Amida road, expanding it to six lanes and transforming it into a vital artery connecting to the King Faisal ring road via the Haram Boulevard road and Ali Bin Taleb Tunnel.

Key objectives of the advance roadways package include upgrading the Ali Bin Abi Taleb traffic tunnel and conducting bulk excavations, essential for the subsequent phases of development within the MCA. The scope of work encompasses a wide array of activities, including the removal of existing infrastructure, excavation, construction of roadways, installation of utilities, and implementation of traffic management strategies to minimize disruptions.
