Gaz-System is a state-owned company responsible for the transmission of natural gas in Poland. In addition to LNG Terminal in Świnoujście operated by Gaz-System, the Company is also developing a new Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) Terminal off the coast of Gdańsk with the regasification capacity up to 6.1 billion cubic meters of natural gas to consumers annually.

Gaz-System is chartering the FSRU from subsidiary of Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) – White Eagle Energy. The vessel has been ordered from the world’s largest shipbuilding company, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI). Once constructed, the vessel shall be moored in Gdańsk, to the new jetty, which will be connected to approx. 3 km offshore gas pipeline. In addition to that, GAZ-SYSTEM is also constructing approx., 250 km onshore gas pipeline which would help to provide natural gas coming after regasification to the customers in Poland and abroad.

The overall FSRU program is expected to conclude in 2028.

Hill International has been selected in June 2025 to provide supervision services of FSRU construction process which has started in HD HHI’s shipyard in Ulsan and will continue till 2027.
