Oiling the Machine: Steps to Successful Permitting on Infrastructure Megaprojects
Officials, stakeholders and residents recently came together for the presentation of the Rebuild by Design (RBD) Meadowlands Project that will provide critical flood protection for five municipalities in Northern New Jersey.
Hill International, in a joint venture with Louis Berger, is providing construction management in support of the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) under a contract with the New Jersey Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC).
This project, funded through a $150 million federal grant, will implement comprehensive flood protection in the towns of Carlstadt, Little Ferry, Moonachie, South Hackensack and Teterboro.
The Hill team is working closely with the DEP and other consultants to secure approval of the feasibility study and environmental impact statement to attain a Record of Decision by September 2018, which would meet the federal funding requirements.
