The Miami-Dade Water & Sewer Department recently selected Hill International for an A/E Professional Services contract, with projects supported on a task order basis.
The two-year contract, with an option for an extension, is Hill’s first assignment with the Miami-Dade Water & Sewer Department. One of the largest public utilities in the United States, the Department serves more than 436,000 customers and has operating revenues in excess of $730 million annually.
“This is a big win for our firm with a client that we’re excited to serve,” said Hill Senior Vice President & Regional Manager, Southeast U.S. & Latin America, Luis Lugo. “To be able to start a partnership with this major utility provider in this section of the country is a crucial step in our continued efforts to best serve clients throughout the State of Florida.”
While Hill has long served the infrastructure market in Florida, including a long history of work with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), this new contract represents a significant milestone for the firm.
“We support infrastructure for FDOT out of our Jacksonville office, but this project will be completely staffed from our Miami location,” Lugo said. “It represents our first major horizontal infrastructure project in the Miami area.”
