Aileen Schwartz, Vice President, Assistant General Counsel and Privacy Officer at Hill International, will be a featured panelist at the Magna Legal Services’ 3rd Annual March Madness CLE event in Las Vegas. The sold out conference, scheduled for March 14-15, will focus on how to manage litigation from the perspective of the claims executive, corporate counsel and outside counsel.
Schwartz’s panel discussion is entitled “Unstoppable at Rainmaking: Staying on the Right Side of the Ethical Line.”
“It’s an honor to be asked to address my colleagues and industry peers on such an important topic,” said Schwartz, who has more than 25 years as an Attorney at Law. “Our specific session is going to be a practical discussion about how in-house counsel selects their outside counsel. There are a number of ethical considerations that factor into the in-house, outside counsel relationship. This practical course will discuss what we, as in-house counsel, are looking for in outside council? Why would we choose one over another? What are the key issues and considerations?”
As Vice President, Assistant General Counsel, and Privacy Officer for Hill, Schwartz’s primary responsibilities are to draft and negotiate Hill’s United States contracts and leases, handle Human Resource issues and investigations, manage and oversee Hill’s litigation in North America and draft, review, implement and supervise compliance with privacy laws globally. Prior to joining Hill in 2008, she worked for a privately held company and law firms, and served as the Principal of her own private law firm. She is a Certified Mediator and has acted as an Arbitrator for the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas.
