Hill provided project management and site supervision services for Phases 1 and 2 of the Forum Al Djazair, a mixed-use development including 4 residential towers with 22 stories each, waterfront apartments, retail outlets, 3 office towers, luxury villas, and entertainment facilities. The Forum serves as Algeria’s premier coastal tourist destination.

Hill’s support encompassed planning, cost control, quantity surveying, and monthly payment approvals, as well as supervising all trades, earthworks, civil, MEP, finishing and architecture, internal design, and the landscape work packages.

The complex features hotel towers, residential villas and towers, a marina, and business space and is the first major mixed-use tourist development in the region, capitalizing on Algeria’s growing tourism sector. Facilities also include open, green spaces with outdoor swimming pools for the villas and expansive pedestrian areas between the residential towers and in front of the future marina. The design character of the complex is distinctly Maghreb, executed with a Middle Eastern and pan-Mediterranean flavor.

In the process of constructing the Forum, the Hill team and the client were able to overcome several challenges. For example, when the client decided to slightly alter the design, by quickly studying the proposed change and effectively communicating the change with contractors, Hill helped to keep the project on track and minimized cost and schedule impacts.
